The Babywearing Tutorial Library

Welcome Babywearers!

I have created this electronic library of how-to videos by some of the most well known  names in babywearing, whether by a large audience or a more intimate one. I wanted a place where caregivers could come and easily find what they were looking for, whether it was a specific carry, a specific carrier how-to, or a specific style of video education. While it is not all inclusive (seriously, I couldn’t add every video ever made!), these were the majority picks by caregivers such as yourself.

Each of these tutorialists were contacted by me and their videos were linked with their permission (with the exception of Savannah Slingers’ Podaegi video; I am still trying to get in touch with them so I have simply ‘borrowed it’ for the time being!). PLEASE NOTE that while I have sorted the wrap videos by the size of wrap that the educator used in his/her videos, they were created using the educator’s base size (+/-). So just because one educator uses a size 6 for a carry that you would like to try does not mean that you have to use a size 6; if you are more petite then you may find a 5 to work better, or if you are chestier or have broader shoulders then you may find a 7 to be more comfortable for you.

Here is a great link that explains a way to figure out your base size if you are unsure if yours is correct or if you simply do not know. There are many such articles out there and Google can help you find them if you need more education. This is simply an article that I like!

Base Size De-Bunked! by Wrap in ASL

For reference, here is a list of base sizes for each of the educators listed below who have created woven wrap videos:

Babywearing Faith- 4 or 5 (she is 4’10”, in case that helps anyone!)

BrittBrownMarsh – 8

Slingdad Dom- 8

Tandem Trouble – 6 (she prefers using her base size for tandems, down to base -2; she doesn’t like using a base +1)

Twice Loved & Modern- 6 (though she notes that her son is 2 years old now and she finds 7s to be more comfortable)

WearAllTheBabies – 7

Wrap in ASL- 7

Wrap You in Love- 6 (though before pregnancy it was a 5!)

Wrapping My Heart – 6 (and she’s 5’1.5″)

Wrapping Rachel- 6

I do apologize if you find a discrepancy, such as a link tagged incorrectly or a size video misplaced. I have worked on this project for multiple days and well into the night, with a nursling of my own! Please let me know if there is something that I need to fix, and I will do so at the first opportunity. I simply ask that you do so kindly! 🙂

I hope that you find this helpful and HAPPY BABYWEARING!!!!!
